Joint Patrols

India and Thailand have agreed to pursue high-level dialogue on defence cooperation to tackle the menace of piracy.

In a joint statement the leaders noted that coordinated patrolling was already being carried out jointly by the Indian and Thai navies, agreed to further enhance this cooperation.

The joint operations will see an increase of the duration and frequency of such patrols.
