Rumours Wrong

It was widely reported over the weekend that a Greek bulker, Perosea’s 52,163-dwt “MV Eagle” had been set free.

The shipowner has confirmed to the media these reports are wide of the mark and the 1985-built vessel is still being held.

All 24 crew on board the Eagle are ‘ok’ but it remains under pirate control .

Pirates claimed to released “MV Eagle” and its crew after receiving a $6 million ransom for the ship’s release. Sadly this seems not to be the case.
