An Evergreen containership has been damaged following an attack in the Arabian Sea.

Rocket propelled grenades hit cabins and the kitchen area of the 3,428-teu “Ital Glamour” (built 1987) during the 30 minute assault.

According to the ship’s owner, Evergreen arm Italia Marittima, bomb disposal experts from an Italian warship were called to check no unexploded grenades remain.

No injuries were reported to the 22 crew.
