According to media reports, the Thai navy is to deploy armed guards on board Thai flagged vessels transiting the Gulf of Aden.

Their mission will start in July in the pirate affected region, navy sources said.

A detachment of 60 Thai “SEALS” will be based onboard two Thai naval vessel, and a team of four will be placed on each Thai vessel operating off East Africa. The mission will last three months initially.
