Air Strikes

An Al Shabaab commander as well as residents have claimed that helicopters attacked military camps near the southern city of Kismayo.

Two Al Shabaab fighters were said to have been killed.

More details emerged hours after the helicopter raid, and it is understood that the strike was conducted by US aircraft as part of a push against Al Shabaab in the region.
