Critical Clarification

Possibly prompted by criticisms of its catch and released approach, EUNAVFOR has clarified reports of a supposed attack on an LNG carrier.

The supposed attack on the vessel “Ejnan” this week was apparently was based on a  “misinterpretation” of a VHF call from the vessel.

The closest a skiff got to attacking was 1.7miles away. Naval forces captured the skiff, gave the pirates a smaller engine, water and food and sent them off.
