Call of Duty
Singapore is answering the call of duty – for the third time – to support international counter-piracy efforts in the Gulf of Aden. A 229-strong group from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) left for a three-month stint this week on board the Republic of Singapore Navy’s Landing Ship Tank, the RSS Endeavour. With two Super Puma helicopters and 229 personnel on board, Endeavour will link up with a New Zealand-led task force there.
