Irresponsible Skippers

The International Sailing Federation (ISAF), has clearly stated that vessels entering any area where pirates operate is entirely the responsibility of the master of each vessel.

The current advice from the military is simple: Do not sail in the western Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, Somali Basin and Gulf of Aden.

ISAF considers that sailing in these waters is highly irresponsible. Yachts sailing in these waters are vulnerable to attack.
