Norwegian Shipowners’ Association has issued a Security update for West Africa/GoG/Nigeria.
The update focuses on recent developments regarding piracy and armed robbery off West Africa, with a focus on the Bonny estuary up to Port Harcourt, and on the Calabar River area.
Attacks are on the rise, with diesel tankers being of particular interest to pirate gangs.
