Taking Action

The Indian Government has initiated various preventive/ mitigating security measures.

These measures include an Inter-Ministerial Group of Officers has been set up to deal with hostage situations.

While the Director General of Shipping has supported Best Management Practices.

In addition they have implemented a ban on sailing vessels in waters south or west of the line joining Salalah and Male, and naval escorts are provided in the High Risk Area.
