Unfit For Purpose

The UK’s armed forces may not be fit for purpose after 2015, an influential committee of MPs has warned.

The Defence Select Committee says cuts made to the military as part of last year’s Strategic Defence and Security Review have prompted “growing concern”.

MPs added, that servicemen and women could not fulfil their responsibilities due to the twin pressures of Afghanistan and Libya, not forgetting piracy patrols.
