UN Calls
According to a report from Lloyd’s List, the Asian Shipowners’ Forum Safe Navigation & Environment Committee has joined in calls to the UN to take action to curb the scourge of piracy.
The Asian shipowners are reportedly “angry and frustrated by the ongoing attacks”, and the pirates freely to roaming the seas attacking and hijacking ships, the ASF has endorsed the formation of a UN anti–piracy military task force.
