Humanitarian Response
In a response to Lloyd’s List article ‘Shipping turns a blind eye to human cost of piracy’, Peter Swift, Chairman of the Maritime Piracy Humanitarian Response Programme has outlined how a broad international alliance of industry partners.
The association representing shipowners, managers, insurers, unions and welfare associations is involved in the programme which actively promotes good practices to support seafarers and their families in all three phases of any piracy incident.
