Unarmed Surcharge
One maritime security company has made a significant statement against the use of unarmed security personnel.
Marine Risk Management SA, has announced that it will be imposing a 15% surcharge on all unarmed transit operations carried out from 1st December 2011.
John Dalby, founder and CEO, said in a press release, “This initiative reflects the increased vulnerability…during unarmed passages”.
