Recover and Recycle

The waters of Haiti are a veritable ship’s graveyard, with over 300 sunk or abandoned vessels the situation is not only a critical issue in terms of navigation but also a serious environmental concern.

The US company Commercial Divers Service has offered to remove and recycle the hundreds of vessels lying abandoned in Haitian waters.

Italy’s La Repubblica newspaper has a short video article on the cleanup operation.
