At SMM, Moxa will be presenting their new x86-based ECDIS computer MC-5157-AC/DC, a high-performance, fanless marine computer. The Intel® Core™ i5 520E CPU features a 3 MB L2 cache that can easily satisfy the heavy computing loads demanded by ship-board automation systems. In addition to its computing power and rugged design, 2 PCI slots make hardware extensions simple, while the 8 built-in NMEA ports allow users to easily connect gyros, speed logs, wind sensors and other specialized maritime hardware without the headache of configuring additional NMEA converters.
In addition, Moxa will be showing the brand new fanless marine computer MC-7000 that enables the use of up to three separate displays for a variety of marine applications with its integrated Intel HD graphics support. The powerful computer uses the new Intel 7 series Panther Point chipset and the third generation Intel Ivy Bridge processor. In addition to its built-in 2 GB DDR 3 memory that can be extended to 16 GB it offers a 6 Gbps high-performance SATA storage interface with RAID functionality. It offers versatile communication interfaces and anti-shock as well as anti-vibration protection, making it a reference product it in the industry.
To complete their marine solution, Moxa will be presenting the MD-124 marine display series that meet or exceed required maritime standards and are perfectly suited for a variety of ship-board applications. They offer touch screen and ECDIS solutions in various configurations and they are designed to meet the exacting environmental demands of the marine industry.
