Certificate in Maritime Safety Management
The Certificate in Maritime Safety Management has opened for enrolment at Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, a leading provider of training for the maritime industry. It’s a 12-week course which illustrates that compliance with maritime safety codes and regulations is just the beginning. The programme – totally delivered by distance learning – starts on 19th March 2013 and is currently enrolling at Lloyd’s Maritime Academy (website: www.lloydsmaritimeacademy.com/FLP2277MSR)
This 12-week certificate course examines all aspects of maritime safety management including:
– The international codes used to govern and measure compliance,
– Risk and quality management approaches,
– Management strategies needed to create a proactive culture of safety.
Shipping is a truly global industry, involving many nations, organisations and individuals in a complex network of trade. It can also be very dangerous, and with increasing ship numbers and sizes, the industry faces ever greater safety risks. Learning by distance education enables all of those involved to study this course as we strive for a safer environment for all.
“Benefitting a wide range of maritime professionals, the programme provides the necessary knowledge and understanding to ensure that systems work effectively, allowing the safety culture to grow and meeting the demands for continuous professional development.” Says Course Director, John Dickie.
The Certificate in Maritime Safety Management joins the many distance learning courses currently enrolling at Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, which can be found at www.lloydsmaritimeacademy.com
