Strengthening the Black Sea Fleet’s capability is ‘a priority’

Russian [President] Vladimir Putin made a working trip to Severomorsk, where he took part in events celebrating Navy Day on July 27.

In a speech aboard the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier, we pointed out that Russia was about to commission a new submarine capable of carrying cruise missiles.

“Our Navy’s strength and glory will grow even greater and we will increase its defense capability, combat readiness and mobility, strengthen its resource and equipment base and modernize the coastal infrastructure. New ships will be built,” Putin said.
