Focus on piracy and other maritime crime off Africa

Leading international experts will develop new ideas to combat maritime crime in East and West Africa at a seminar during the Danish Maritime Days on October 7.

Maritime crime, including piracy, robberies of cargoes, hijackings etc. continues to affect world trade, especially in Africa. Ship-owners spend substantial amounts on security, and more important, local communities, particularly in West Africa, is suffering from the affected trade.
