Valiant Shield exercise begins today

Two aircraft carriers. Nineteen surface ships. More than 200 aircraft. And about 18,000 military members from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps.

Valiant Shield — one of the military’s largest unilateral training exercises — will once again be conducted on and around Guam in the following days. The exercise kicks off today and is scheduled to end Sept. 23.
