A Liverpool man trapped in India after being accused of gun-running will learn in the next fortnight if he can return home.
Former soldier Paul Towers has been unable to leave the country for nearly 18 months after the crew of the anti-piracy vessel, MV Seaman Guard Ohio, were arrested by the Indian authorities in October 2013.
Mr Towers, originally from Bootle, was one of six British nationals and former servicemen who were all arrested, along with 29 other seafarers of different nationalities.
