Review of laws against piracy in the cards

A REVIEW of the laws against piracy and robbery on the high seas will be carried out, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.

“A paper will be prepared by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) for consideration,” he said at the Parliament lobby.

Shahidan, who is in charge of the agency, said the review would not only be confined to piracy but robbery as well.
