Libyan officials deny reopening of major oil terminals

Libya’s internationally recognized government denied reports that oil exports were to resume from its two largest oil ports, after leading international petroleum news source Platts reported last week that Libya’s National Oil Corporation was to lift force majeure for the terminals of Ras Lanuf and Sidra.
Ras Lanuf and Sidra are both located on the central Libyan Gulf of Sirte, in an area known as the oil crescent that contains mayor oil facilities and gives access to the Sirte Basin, which holds the vast majority of Libya’s oil.
