HMS Defender sent back to Middle East by UK
HMS Defender set sail from Portsmouth Monday bound for the Middle East, her second major deployment to carry out security operations in the region.
The Type 45 destroyer is due to take over from sister ship HMS Duncan and will spend nine months working with allied navies in the Middle East and Gulf to safeguard trade and promote UK interests in the region.
