Sri Lanka Navy earns US$ 1.5 million in a month from providing maritime security services
Sri Lanka Navy said it had earned an income of Rs. 220 million (over US$ 1.5 million) in a month from the operations, which were provided by the Avant Garde Maritime Services Ltd (AGMSL) earlier.
Issuing a statement to local media Wednesday, Navy Spokesman Captain Akram Alavi said the Navy had carried out 652 moves in Galle and Colombo harbors during the period from November 13 to December 13 and earned an income of Rs. 220 million.
“The revenue earned from these operations is directly deposited in the Consolidated Fund of the Government,” the statement said.
