Engineer kidnapped by pirates in Nigeria rescued
NEW DELHI: Santosh Bharadwaj, an engineer working with a Singapore based shipping company, has been freed by pirates in Nigeria almost three months after he was kidnapped.
“I am extremely happy to inform that Shri Santosh Bhardwaj has been rescued from pirates in Nigeria,” external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj said in a tweet along with a picture of Santosh’s wife Kanchan.
Marine engineer Santosh Bhardwaj was kidnapped by pirates near Nigeria on March 26.
