China Confirms Military Presence and Military Exercises in South China Sea
For the first time, China confirmed conducting military exercises by its carrier in the South China Sea.
According to a statement released by the Chinese Defense Ministry, several J-15 fighter jets were on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier Liaoning on Monday. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry confirmed days after and said the carrier and five other warships had passed south of Taiwan.
