12 Arrested in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria for Oil Bunkering

March 19: The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base FOB in Ibaka Town (Oron, Akwa Ibom State) have taken delivery of a vessel, MV SWORD FISH V, its 12 crew members and illegally bunkered diesel, following the the an arrest and seizure by the Nigerian Navy.

According to an official spokesperson, the crew were arrested – and the vessel/illegally bunkered petroleum product were seized – at the Monipulo Nigeria Limited Platform in Agbani Oil Field.
