Mooring Line Stolen From General Cargo Vessel Anchored Near Bandar Penawar

September 25, 22:06: Approximately 16nm east of Bandar Penawar, Malaysia, a bosun onboard an anchored general cargo ship sighted three unauthorized persons on the forecastle and immediately informed the OOW, who raised the alarm. The crew mustered and proceeded towards the forward. Seeing the alerted crew, the unauthorized persons escaped with a mooring rope.

The perpetrators of this incident were very likely the same or at least connected with those that targeted an anchored tanker the same evening in close proximity.
