Attempted Theft Aboard Petrochemical Tanker at General Santos Anchorage in Philippines

March 12, 01:57 LT: The Duty Officer and Able Bodied (AB) on board the petrochemical tanker ENDEAVOUR II (IMO #9835056; anchored at General Santos Harbour Anchorage in the Philippines) were doing a safety round when they saw an unspecified number of unauthorized persons at the forecastle. The duty officer immediately informed the master who activated the general alarm. Upon hearing the alarm, the unauthorized persons escaped in a small boat. A ship security search was conducted and a padlock to the bosun store was found broken. Nothing was stolen and the crew was not injured.
